La Grange Sud is a luxury villa in the Dordogne, full of charm and character
and beautifully renovated to retain its original stone walls and oak
beamed ceilings. It includes all the modern facilities expected in a
holiday property (see
equipment
page for details).

There is a large circular driveway at the
front of the house which leads to half an acre of
garden.
A large balcony leads from the lounge and
from the Lavender bedroom. This wonderful balcony has views over the golf course. On this balcony is a dining area, sitting
area and swing seat.

The lounge has a wood burning fire adding warmth and character. For
entertainment there is a 42" High Definition Hitachi Plasma TV, DVD and Surround
Sound System.

There is seating for 6 on a leather suite
and an extensive video and book library. The oak beams and chestnut
ceiling add lots of character.
The dining room leads from the lounge and has seating for up to 8 at a
large mahogany dining table. In this room there is also a selection
of board games. The original bread oven of the farmhouse is in this
room also.

The kitchen leads from the dining room and has a tiled
floor and oak fitted units. There is a large Rangemaster electric
double oven and five ring gas hob, microwave, integrated dishwasher
and washing machine and large fridge/freezer.
There is seating for 4 at an Italian glass table. The kitchen opens through French doors, onto a covered tiled
terrace. Located here are a gas and charcoal BBQ, along with table and chairs
which are ideal for 'al
fresco' dining. From this upper terrace are views over the swimming pool and surrounding countryside.

The villa has three large double bedrooms. The two downstairs bedrooms, Lavender and Yellow have en-suite shower rooms
with the Yellow also having a traditional French cast iron bath.

There is a further bedroom upstairs - The Rose room (pictured above) with an en-suite shower room.
This room has views over the golf course. All
3 bedrooms have
tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers.
The gardens are split into 3 areas:
1. A large circular drive and parking area
2. An upper garden of half an acre which accommodates the
swimming pool and terrace
3.
A lower garden which is not available during the 2010 season because
of extensive building work but in 2011 it will re-open with a
trampoline; hammocks and a large seating area to enjoy the views of the
golf course.
We have installed a heated,
covered 9x5m pool with terracing and wooden decked area. The pool will be heated
to a minimum temperature of 24 degrees from March until November.

The garden also has 3 terraces:
1. A large south facing sun terrace
surrounding the pool
2. An adjacent covered terrace which is located next
to the kitchen and is used for dining
3. A large balcony
overlooking the golf course

The tariff includes electricity and
water,
a welcome pack on arrival (click
here for more details), all bedding and household linen, bath
towels, hand towels and pool towels. |
