Lounge
The focal point of the barn is a
large lounge 5x5m which is open to a timbered
ceiling of oak and chestnut. This room is full of
character with the original stone walls and oak staircase.
A large wood burning stove adds warmth and character to this
room, making it a lovely area
to relax in the evening.
The entertainment area in the lounge includes a 42" Hitachi HD Plasma
Television connected to a full package of UK Satellite TV channels; DVD
and Cinema Surround Sound system. There are extensive
number of popular DVDs.
The DVD player is connected to a Panasonic surround sound stereo
system, for
enhanced viewing.
The Dining
Room 5x3m leads from the lounge with a mahogany
dining suite that will seat up to 8 people for formal dining or
evening meals in the winter. It also contains the remains of the
original bread
oven in the wall that is shared with the kitchen.
The Lavender bedroom leads from the lounge
The kitchen is 5x4m with tiled floors and oak fitted kitchen units.
There is a Rangemaster electric double oven and five ring gas hob,
microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge/freezer and wine
fridge.
It also has an Italian glass breakfast table that can seat four.
A new oak kitchen for
2010
The kitchen is adjacent to
a large terrace that overlooks the swimming pool with a gas and
charcoal BBQ, table and chairs.
From this terrace you can
enjoy the views over the lower garden, the pool and surrounding countryside.
